David Kynaston

Britain 1962-1965

This is the story of the early sixties in Britain as only eminent historian David Kynaston can tell us. From the coming of the Beatles to a sex scandal that rocked the Tory government to the arrival at No 10 of Harold Wilson, such a very different kind of Prime Minister. Drawing upon diaries, newspapers and first-hand recollections from all walks of life, David explores key events such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Big Freeze, JFK’s assassination, Churchill’s funeral, as well as the stories of everyday people living through this history.
