The Lost Garden of Loughrigg

Penn Allen discovered a bundle of diaries and letters that revealed the Lost Garden of Loughrigg. They had been written by her great grandfather, Charles Hough, and by plant collectors, William Purdom and Reginald Farrer. As she read through these treasures she found a long- buried tale of friendships, adventures, losses and ultimately passionate love that contributed to the creation of a unique house and garden.
